The overlook is located at Overlook Trail, Mitchell, OR 97750.

From the town of Mitchell, take the OR-26 W towards the Painted Hills. After about 5 miles, turn left onto Overlook Road, which will lead you directly to the Painted Hills Overlook. There is ample parking available at the site.
