If you are starting from the town of Fossil, Oregon, head east on Highway 26 for approximately 30 miles. Keep an eye out for signs for Ochoco National Forest as you approach the area. Once you reach the junction with Forest Road 27 (approximately 3 miles past the town of Mitchell), turn left onto Forest Road 27. From the city of Condon, head south on Highway 19 for about 32 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 26. Turn left onto Highway 26 and continue east for about 15 miles. Again, be prepared for potential parking fees at trailheads.
