Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Lahore. Take the M-2 motorway towards Multan. After approximately 270 km, take the exit towards Layyah. Once you enter Layyah, follow the local road signs directing you to Thal Chowk. The journey should take around 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic. Parking is usually available near the Chowk.
Bus
For public transportation, head to the Daewoo Express or Faisal Movers terminal in Lahore. Purchase a ticket to Layyah, which costs approximately PKR 1,200 to PKR 1,500. The bus journey will take around 5 to 6 hours. Once you arrive in Layyah, you can take a local rickshaw or taxi to reach Thal Chowk, which is about 10 minutes away.
Rickshaw/Taxi
Upon reaching Layyah by bus, you can find rickshaws or taxis outside the bus terminal. Negotiate a fare to Thal Chowk. The fare should be around PKR 100 to PKR 200. Confirm with the driver to ensure they know the location.
Local Transport
Once at Thal Chowk, you can explore the surrounding area on foot or use local rickshaws to visit nearby attractions. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes as you may want to walk around and experience the local atmosphere.
