Car
If you are driving from Islamabad, take the M1 motorway towards Peshawar. After approximately 30 km, take the Taxila exit (N-35). Follow the signs for Taxila and continue for about 15 km. Once you reach Taxila, look for signs directing you to Bhir Mound. The archaeological site is located just off the main road, and you can park nearby. The exact coordinates are 33.743915, 72.8191594.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Islamabad, you can take a bus from the Faizabad Interchange to Taxila. Buses regularly depart and the fare is usually around 100-200 PKR. Once you arrive in Taxila, you can hire a local rickshaw or taxi to take you to Bhir Mound. The rickshaw fare may range from 200 to 500 PKR depending on your negotiation skills. The site is approximately 5 km from the bus station.
Rickshaw
If you are already in Taxila, you can easily hire a rickshaw to take you to Bhir Mound. Simply tell the driver your destination, and they will take you there for approximately 200-300 PKR. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
