Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the city center of Gandhara. Take the main road leading towards Torkham. The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and should take around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Follow the signs towards Torkham and stay on the main highway. Once you reach the location marked as '36F5+W8C', you will find Sphola Stupa on your left-hand side. There is parking available nearby.
Public Bus
For those opting for public transportation, head to the nearest bus station in Gandhara. Look for buses that are heading towards Torkham. The fare is usually around 100 PKR (Pakistani Rupees). The journey will take about 1 hour. Inform the bus conductor that you wish to stop at Sphola Stupa, and they will let you know when to get off. The stop is close to the stupa, and from there, it's a short walk to the site.
Rickshaw
Another option for a more personalized experience is to hire a rickshaw. You can find rickshaws near major market areas in Gandhara. The fare to Sphola Stupa will vary but expect to pay around 500 PKR for a one-way trip. The rickshaw driver will take you directly to the stupa, and you can negotiate the fare for a round trip if you wish to return with the same driver.
