If you're driving from Gilgit, take the Karakoram Highway (KKH) towards Hunza. The distance is approximately 100 km, which will take around 2-3 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Passu, continue for another 15 km until you reach the turnoff for Altit Fort. The fort is located just 2 km from the main road, follow the signs to Altit. Parking is available near the fort.

From Gilgit, you can take a bus or minibus towards Hunza. Buses leave regularly throughout the day from the Gilgit bus station. The fare is typically around 500 PKR per person. Once you reach the main Hunza bus station in Karimabad, you can either take a local taxi or a shared jeep to Altit Fort, which is around 15 minutes away. The taxi fare should be around 300-400 PKR.
