Car
To reach Makra Choti (Spider Peak) by car, start your journey from the main city of Abbottabad. Head towards Balakot via the N-35 (Karakoram Highway). The distance is approximately 30 km and will take about 45 minutes. Once in Balakot, follow the signs to HFFV+WJM, which is the GPS location of Makra Choti. The last few kilometers may involve navigating through narrow mountain roads, so drive carefully. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for mountainous terrain.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take a bus or van from Abbottabad to Balakot. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Abbottabad. The fare is usually around PKR 150-200. Once you arrive in Balakot, you can hire a local taxi or a motorcycle rickshaw to take you to HFFV+WJM (the location of Makra Choti). The taxi fare for this trip should be around PKR 500-700. Confirm the price before starting your ride.
Hiking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can trek to Makra Choti from Balakot. Start your hike from the base of the hill, which is easily accessible by walking or taking a short taxi ride. The hike is challenging and may take about 3-4 hours depending on your fitness level. Ensure to carry sufficient water, snacks, and a map, as the trails can be less marked.
