If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Take the N-35 (Grand Trunk Road) towards Swabi. After approximately 70 km, take the exit towards Mardan. Continue on this road until you reach the outskirts of Mardan. From Mardan, follow the signs to Takht Bhai and then to the village of Ghundai, which is the last major settlement before heading towards Ghundai Sar. The final stretch requires you to take a dirt road leading up to the mountain. It’s recommended to hire a local guide for this part as the path can be tricky and is not well marked. Ensure your vehicle has good ground clearance as the road can be rough. The entire journey should take around 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.

For those using public transportation, start your journey from Peshawar by taking a bus or a van heading towards Mardan. The buses are frequent and the fare is approximately PKR 200-300.
