From K2 Base Camp, start by heading back to Skardu on the K2 Base Camp trek route. Once you reach Skardu, you can take the Karakoram Highway (N-35) towards Gilgit. From K2 Base Camp, return to Skardu. In Skardu, you can find a local bus or shared van heading towards Gilgit. These usually depart in the morning and can take about 5-7 hours to reach Gilgit. From Gilgit, you can catch another local bus or shared van to Hunza Valley, which will take around 2 hours. Make sure to confirm the departure times and costs with local transport providers in Skardu. The total cost for public transport can vary, but budget around 1500-2000 PKR for the whole journey.
