Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Naran, a popular town in Kaghan Valley. Head south on the Naran-Kaghan Road (N-15) for approximately 24 kilometers. Look for a sign pointing towards Sacha Kalan (also known as Siran Waterfall). Turn left onto the unpaved road, which leads to the waterfall. The journey takes around 30 to 40 minutes from Naran, depending on road conditions. Make sure to drive carefully as the roads can be narrow and winding.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a van or a bus from Naran to Mansehra. The fare is generally around PKR 300-500. Once in Mansehra, you will need to hire a local taxi or take another van heading towards Sacha Kalan. The taxi fare can vary, so negotiate before starting the ride. The distance from Mansehra to Siran Waterfall is about 20 kilometers, and the journey may take around 30 minutes.
Hiking
If you enjoy hiking and are seeking an adventurous route, consider taking a hike from Sacha Kalan village. From the village, the waterfall is about a 1.5 to 2-hour hike uphill. The trail can be steep and rocky; therefore, it's advisable to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water and snacks with you. This route offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Local Guidance
Once you arrive in Sacha Kalan, locals are usually friendly and can provide directions to the waterfall if needed. It’s also a good idea to ask about the best walking paths and any local tips to enhance your experience. Be sure to ask about any entrance fees or donations required to visit the waterfall, as these can vary.
