From any location in Kaghan Valley, you will want to head towards the town of Balakot. Take the N-15 highway heading south. Upon reaching Balakot, continue on N-15 until you reach Muzaffarabad. This journey will take approximately 4-5 hours depending on traffic. Once in Muzaffarabad, follow signs for the Neelum Valley road, which is a scenic route that will take you into Neelam Valley. The total driving distance is around 110 kilometers from Balakot to Muzaffarabad, and then another 40 kilometers into Neelam Valley.
