Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Naran, a popular base in Kaghan Valley. Head south on the Naran-Kaghan road towards Balakot. After approximately 30 kilometers, you'll reach the junction for the Siri Paye meadows. Turn left onto the dirt road that leads toward the meadows, which is around 12 kilometers away. The road is rough and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season. Make sure to check the weather conditions before you set out. Once you arrive at the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 2-3 kilometers to reach the Siri Pae meadow itself.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus or van from Islamabad to Naran, which can take about 8-10 hours. Once in Naran, look for local jeep services that can take you up to Siri Paye meadows. The jeep ride will cost around PKR 3000-4000 per person. The jeep will take you as far as the accessible road allows, after which you will need to hike around 2-3 kilometers to reach the meadow. It’s advisable to hire a local guide for this hike to navigate the trails effectively.

• Hiking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the meadows, you can opt for hiking. From the nearest point accessible by vehicle, the trek to Siri Pae takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, but it can be steep in places. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring plenty of water, especially during the summer months when temperatures can rise.
