10/10 – Unforgettable Journey to Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat

This 6-day guided tour from Islamabad to northern Pakistan was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. My husband and I were picked up at Islamabad Airport, we set off on a scenic drive through Naran and Chilas, taking in the changing landscapes as we headed deeper into the mountains. One of the absolute highlights was the famous jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tattu Village. It was thrilling, bumpy, and incredibly scenic — the perfect adventure to kick off the mountain portion of the trip. From there, Fairy Meadows completely lived up to its name. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and truly amazing; I could have stayed there forever just soaking it all in. The trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp was both challenging and deeply rewarding. Standing at the base of the “Killer Mountain” with those towering peaks all around was an unforgettable experience — absolutely fantastic. What made the whole trip even better were our tour guides, Haroon and Zaheer. They were kind, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and took excellent care of us every step of the way. Their support and positive energy made everything run smoothly and helped us feel safe and well looked after throughout. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines stunning scenery, thrilling jeep rides, and a rewarding trek to one of the world’s most iconic mountains, this tour delivers on every level. Highly recommended — I would rate it a perfect 10/10.

I cannot say enough of how amazing our trip was with Discovering Pakistan. From the moment we arrived in Islamabad airport, the picked us up and handed us beautiful bouquets of flowers! We went to amazing places. Our tour guides AND our drivers were so thoughtful about our every needs! They bought us local fruit, ice cream and made sure we experienced every bit of the culture wherever we were. I can’t say enough great things about our tour. The tour guides in Hunza was born there and knew the culture and guided us well. We then travelled to Lahore, the best city in Pakistan (in terms of a large city), we had a local guide.
