History of North Nazimabad

A Post-Independence Planned Suburb

North Nazimabad emerged during Karachi’s rapid expansion after 1947, when the city absorbed large numbers of migrants and required new residential districts. The name honours Khawaja Nazimuddin, an important early Pakistani statesman who served as Governor-General and Prime Minister.
