Car
If you are driving from the center of Karimabad, head towards the main road leading to Aliabad. Continue on this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the fork where you will need to turn left towards Altit. After about 3 km, you will see signs directing you to Shepherd's Den located in Shahabad, Village Altit. Look for the entrance which is well-marked. There is no parking fee, but ensure to find a safe spot to park your vehicle.
Public Transportation (Taxi or Local Transport)
From Karimabad, you can hire a local taxi or use shared transport to Altit. Inform the driver that you want to go to Shepherd's Den in Shahabad. The fare typically ranges from 300 to 500 PKR, depending on your negotiation skills. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you reach Altit, the drivers are usually familiar with the location of Shepherd's Den, so you can ask them to drop you off directly at the entrance.
Walking (from Altit Village)
If you are already in Altit Village, you can walk to Shepherd's Den. From the main road, take the path that leads uphill towards Shahabad. The walk is approximately 1 km and should take about 15-20 minutes. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if you need assistance. Be prepared for a slightly steep terrain, but the views along the way are rewarding.
