From Khunjerab Pass, start your journey by driving towards the Hunza Valley. The distance from Khunjerab Pass to Karimabad (where Baltit Fort is located) is approximately 90 kilometers. The drive will take you around 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions. Follow the main Karakoram Highway (N-35) southbound. As you approach Karimabad, look for signs directing you towards Baltit Fort. Once in Karimabad, park your car in one of the designated areas and proceed on foot to the fort.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a minibus from Khunjerab Pass to Karimabad. Minibuses often leave from the main point in Khunjerab Pass early in the morning.
