Getting There

Car
From Khunjerab Pass, drive south on the Karakoram Highway (N-35). The road will take you through stunning landscapes and several small towns. Keep an eye out for your surroundings as you may encounter wildlife. After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will reach the town of Gulmit. Continue driving for another 30 minutes until you arrive at Karimabad, the main town in Hunza Valley. You may need to pay a toll fee at the Khunjerab Pass entry point, which is approximately PKR 100-200.

From Khunjerab Pass, you can take a shared jeep or bus heading towards Karimabad. There may be limited schedules, so it is advisable to confirm the timings with local transport operators. The journey will take around 3-4 hours. The cost for a shared jeep is typically around PKR 500-800 per person. Ensure you have cash available, as card payments may not be accepted.

If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Khunjerab Pass to Karimabad. This would be a faster and more comfortable choice, taking about 2-3 hours.
