Getting There

Car
From Khunjerab Pass, head south towards the Khunjerab National Park. Follow the main road leading towards Sost. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will see a sign directing you towards Mintaka Pass. The road will become narrower and windier as you approach the pass. Ensure you have a reliable vehicle, as some parts of the road can be rough. The journey from Khunjerab Pass to Mintaka Pass takes around 30-45 minutes depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation/Shared Taxi
From Khunjerab Pass, you can take a shared taxi to Sost, which is a more affordable option. Once in Sost, you can negotiate with local drivers who are familiar with the routes to Mintaka Pass. The shared taxi ride to Sost will cost you around PKR 500-700. From Sost, hiring a local taxi to Mintaka Pass may cost an additional PKR 2000-3000. Make sure to discuss the return trip with your driver to avoid getting stranded.
