Car

If you are driving from Peshawar, take the N-35 road (also known as the Grand Trunk Road) towards Chitral. The total driving distance is approximately 400 kilometers and will take around 8-10 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. You will pass through towns like Mardan and Swabi. Once you reach Chitral, follow the signs to Kalash Valley, which is around 30 kilometers from Chitral town.
Public Transportation (Bus)

From Peshawar, you can take a bus to Chitral. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 8-10 hours. Once you reach Chitral, you can hire a local taxi or use a shared jeep to Kalash Valley, which is approximately a 1-hour ride. Be prepared for a bumpy ride as the roads can be rough, and the fare is usually around PKR 500-1000.
Shared Jeep

In Chitral, you can find shared jeeps heading to Kalash Valley. These jeeps leave when they are full, so it’s best to arrive early in the morning. The fare is approximately PKR 300-600 per person, and the journey will take about 1 hour. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver to ensure you are heading to the correct valley (Bumburet, Rumbur, or Birir).
Local Taxi

If you prefer more comfort, you can hire a local taxi from Chitral to Kalash Valley. This option is more expensive, ranging from PKR 1500-3000 depending on your negotiation skills and the exact destination in Kalash Valley.
