Car
If you are driving from Peshawar, take the Grand Trunk Road (N-5) towards Jamrud. The distance is approximately 30 km, and it will take around 45 minutes depending on traffic. Once in Jamrud, follow the signs directing you to Bab-e-Khyber, which is located on Grand Trunk Road at coordinates 34.0024° N, 71.3801° E. There is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
From Peshawar, you can take a minibus or a local bus heading towards Jamrud. Buses leave frequently from the Peshawar bus terminal and the fare is usually around PKR 50-100. Inform the driver you want to go to Bab-e-Khyber. Once you arrive in Jamrud, it's about a 10-minute walk (approximately 1 km) to the landmark, following the Grand Trunk Road.
Taxi
Taxis are a convenient way to reach Bab-e-Khyber from Peshawar. You can hire a taxi directly from your location, and the fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically costing around PKR 1000-1500 for a one-way trip. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to provide the driver with the exact address: 292J+X2F, Grand Trunk Rd, Jamrud, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Ride-Sharing Services
