Getting there

Car

To reach Katora Lake Waterfall by car, start your journey from the town of Kalam. Drive towards the Upper Dir region, approximately 60 km. Follow the main road, which will take you through scenic landscapes. You will arrive at the point where the road forks; take the left fork towards the Katora Lake area. Continue driving for about 25 km on the gravel road, which may be rough in some places. Look for signs or local directions towards Katora Lake. Upon reaching the parking area, you may need to walk for about 1 km to reach the waterfall. Ensure your vehicle has good clearance as some roads can be uneven.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take a minibus or shared taxi from Kalam to the Upper Dir region. The fare is usually around 300 PKR per person. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Katora Lake. From there, you may find local jeeps or motorbikes available for hire. The jeep ride to Katora Lake will cost approximately 2000 PKR. Be prepared for a bumpy ride as the roads can be rough. Once you reach the jeep drop-off point, you will need to hike approximately 1 km to the waterfall.

Hiking
