Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Islamabad, take the N-35 (Karakoram Highway) towards Abbottabad. Continue on the Karakoram Highway for approximately 300 kilometers until you reach Dasu. From Dasu, take the turn towards Suppat Valley, following the local road signs. The distance from Dasu to Suppat Valley is around 25 kilometers, and the road may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. Ensure you have enough fuel, as there are limited petrol stations in the region.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Suppat Valley via public transport, you can take a bus or van from Islamabad to Gilgit. Buses leave frequently throughout the day. Once you reach Gilgit, you will need to catch a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Dasu. Upon arrival in Dasu, look for local transport options (like a jeep or motorcycle taxi) that can take you to Suppat Valley. The cost for the bus from Islamabad to Gilgit is around PKR 1,500-2,000, and the local transport from Dasu to Suppat Valley may cost around PKR 500-1,000.

• Private Taxi

  Alternatively, you can hire a private taxi from Dasu to Suppat Valley. This is a more comfortable option, especially if you are traveling in a group. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it usually ranges from PKR 1,500 to 2,500 depending on your negotiation skills and the vehicle type. Ensure that the taxi driver is familiar with the route to Suppat Valley.
