Car
If you are driving from Mingora, take the Malakand Road (N-45) towards Upper Dir. After approximately 1.5 hours of driving, you will reach the town of Chukyatan. Once in Chukyatan, follow the signs for 'Baab-e-Kumrat' which will lead you onto Dir-Malakand Road. Continue on this road for another 30 minutes, and you will arrive at Baab-e-Kumrat. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some parts of the road can be uneven.
Public Transportation
To reach Baab-e-Kumrat using public transport, take a bus or van from Mingora to Chukyatan. This journey should take about 2 hours. Buses and vans leave frequently from the Mingora bus station. Upon arriving in Chukyatan, you can either hire a local taxi to take you to Baab-e-Kumrat, which will cost around 500-800 PKR, or you can find a shared pickup truck ('suzuki') heading towards Baab-e-Kumrat for a cheaper fare. The ride from Chukyatan to Baab-e-Kumrat will take approximately 30 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable mode of transportation, you can hire a taxi directly from Mingora to Baab-e-Kumrat. This option is more expensive, costing around 3000-4000 PKR for a one-way trip. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of Baab-e-Kumrat, making the journey approximately 2 hours long. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
