From the center of Naran, head towards the main bazaar and locate the bus station. There, you can find shared jeeps heading towards Balakot. Confirm with the driver that they will take you towards Burawai, Kaghan Valley. The fare is usually affordable, around 200-300 PKR per person. Once you are seated, the jeep ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, offering beautiful views along the way. The jeep will drop you off at a point where you need to start walking towards Burawai. From the drop-off point, follow the trail leading straight towards the valley. It's about a 30-minute walk from the drop-off to reach Burawai.
Public Transport (Jeep)
After reaching the bus station in Naran, you can take a shared jeep to Balakot. The jeeps are frequent, leaving as soon as they are filled. Once in Balakot, you can either continue on another shared jeep towards Burawai or ask locals for directions to find a vehicle that can take you directly to Burawai. The total travel time from Naran to Burawai via this route should be around 3 hours, depending on waiting times and road conditions.
Hiking
For adventurous tourists, another option is to hike from Naran directly to Burawai. Starting from Naran, head towards the river and follow the path that leads into the valley. This hike can take around 4 to 5 hours depending on your pace and the trail conditions. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks, as there are no shops along the way. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making it a memorable experience.
