From Naran, head towards the main bazaar and locate the trailhead at the end of the bazaar near the river. The trail starts at the bridge crossing the Kunhar River. Follow the well-marked path leading into the mountains. The hike to Heart Lake is approximately 6-7 kilometers and will take about 2-3 hours. Keep an eye out for signs along the way as they will guide you towards Heart Lake.

In Naran, you can hire a horse from one of the local stables near the main bazaar. The horse ride to Heart Lake is a popular option for tourists. Once you have your horse, follow the same trail as hikers, which is well-trodden and easy for horses. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand and confirm the return arrangement as well.
