Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Peshawar city center, start at the famous Qissa Khwani Bazaar, which is a popular tourist spot. From the bazaar, head northwest towards the main road, Saddar Road. Once you reach Saddar Road, turn left and walk along this road. Keep an eye out for local shops and eateries along the way. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Khyber Bazaar. At this intersection, take a right turn onto Khyber Bazaar. After walking about 1.5 kilometers, you will come across the Peshawar Zoo on your left. The Birds Section is located within the zoo premises, so once you enter through the main entrance, follow the signs to the Birds Section.

• Rickshaw

  You can easily hire a rickshaw from any location in Peshawar. Simply tell the rickshaw driver 'Peshawar Zoo,' and they will take you there. The ride from the city center to Peshawar Zoo typically takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Upon arrival, ask the driver to drop you off at the main entrance of the zoo. Once inside, look for the signs directing you to the Birds Section.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus heading towards Peshawar Zoo. Look for buses that have 'Zoo' written on their route signs. Board the bus at a designated bus stop, and it will take you directly to the zoo. The bus ride may take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the zoo, enter through the main gate, and follow the signs to reach the Birds Section.
