Private Vehicle
From Shandur Top, head south towards Gohkir. Follow the main road for approximately 18 kilometers. You will pass through scenic valleys and may encounter some local shepherds along the way. As you approach Gohkir, keep an eye out for the sign indicating the Bindi Gol Glacier. Turn right onto a smaller dirt road that leads toward the glacier. The road may be rough, so proceed with caution. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the designated parking area for the glacier trek.
Public Transportation
While there are limited public transport options from Shandur Top, you can take a shared jeep heading towards Gohkir. This jeep service operates at certain times, so be sure to check the schedule. Once you arrive in Gohkir, you will need to hire a local guide or arrange for a private vehicle to take you to the Bindi Gol Glacier. The trek from Gohkir to the glacier is approximately 5 kilometers and may take 1-2 hours on foot, depending on your pace.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and fit, you can hike from Gohkir to Bindi Gol Glacier. Start your hike from Gohkir after you arrive by jeep. Follow the river upstream for the first part of your trek. The terrain can be challenging, so wear sturdy hiking boots and carry enough water. The hike is around 5 kilometers and will take approximately 1-2 hours. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the way.
