Car
From Shandur Top, head southeast on the Chitral - Dir Road (also known as the Shandur Road). Drive for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction leading towards Domoon Valley. The road will fork; take the left turn and continue on this road for about 13 kilometers. You will see signs for Domoon Valley. As you approach, keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Domoon River, which runs parallel to the road. The valley will be on your right, and you will find parking areas near the entrance.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking a local jeep or bus from Shandur Top to the nearest major town, which is Chitral. From Chitral, you can find shared taxis heading towards Domoon Valley. The taxi ride will cost around 400-600 PKR. The driver will take you directly to the valley entrance. Make sure to confirm that the driver knows the route to Domoon Valley before you set off. The total travel time might take around 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions.
Hiking
For those who are adventurous and fit, you can also hike from Shandur Top to Domoon Valley. The hike covers a distance of about 12 kilometers. Start early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. Follow the trails marked by local guides or use a GPS app to navigate. The hike is moderate with beautiful views, but ensure you have appropriate gear and enough water. It may take around 4 to 5 hours to reach the valley.
