Getting There

• Car

  From Shandur Top, head south towards Booni. The journey takes approximately 3 hours by car. As you travel, you will descend from the high plateau of Shandur and enjoy scenic views of the valleys below. Follow the main road that leads through the valleys, passing small villages and lush landscapes. Ensure your vehicle is well-equipped for the rough terrain, as some parts of the road may be unpaved. Upon reaching Booni, you will find signposts directing you toward the Mastuj river.

• Public Transportation

  From Shandur Top, you can take a local jeep or a bus that runs to Booni. The jeep ride is a popular choice among tourists and locals alike, as it allows for a more immersive experience of the beautiful landscapes. The fare is typically around PKR 500-800 per person, depending on the vehicle. The journey may take around 3-4 hours, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Once you arrive in Booni, you can ask locals for directions to the Mastuj river, which is a short walk from the town center.

• Walking

  If you prefer to explore on foot after reaching Booni, you can hike to the Mastuj river. From the center of Booni, head towards the river by following the natural trails that lead through the lush greenery. The distance is approximately 2-3 kilometers, and the walk should take about 30-45 minutes. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes, as the terrain can be uneven. Enjoy the natural beauty along the way, as you may encounter local wildlife and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
