Car
To reach Shahmaki Fort by car, start from Hyderabad city center. Head east on the National Highway (N-5) and continue for approximately 10 kilometers. After passing through the town of Kachha Qila, follow the signs for Katcha Qila. Turn left onto the road leading to Shahmaki Fort, which is located at 99MC+PR5. The fort is visible on your left as you approach the area.
Public Transport
To reach Shahmaki Fort using public transport, catch a bus or a van from Hyderabad to Kachha Qila. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal in Hyderabad. The fare is generally around PKR 50-100. Once you arrive in Kachha Qila, you can hire a local rickshaw or taxi for about PKR 200-300 to take you directly to Shahmaki Fort (99MC+PR5). Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
If you’re already in the Kachha Qila area, you can walk to Shahmaki Fort from the main market. It is roughly a 20-minute walk (about 1.5 kilometers). Head towards Katcha Qila and follow the main road, keeping an eye out for local signage pointing towards Shahmaki Fort. The fort is a prominent landmark and should be easy to find.
