Getting There

• Walking

  From Mingora, the main city in Swat, head towards the Saidu Sharif area. Follow the road leading to the Swat Museum, which is a notable landmark. Continue past the museum until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path that leads towards the Khwaza Khela region. This path will take you alongside the Swat River, offering scenic views of the valley. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will notice a sign that indicates the direction to Shingro waterfall. Follow this trail, which may be steep and rocky in some sections. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the waterfall. Along the way, enjoy the lush greenery and local flora.

• Trekking

  If you're starting from Madyan, you can take a trekking route towards the Shingro waterfall. Begin your journey by heading towards Madyan's main bazaar. From there, ask locals for the trailhead to Shingro waterfall, which is well-known among trekkers. The trek is approximately 8 kilometers long and will take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Follow the marked paths, which will lead you through beautiful pine forests and over rocky terrain. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way. The final stretch will require a bit of climbing, but the view of the waterfall at the end is well worth the effort.

• Public Transport

  To reach the vicinity of Shingro waterfall using public transport, first make your way to the main bus station in Mingora. Look for a minibus heading towards Khwaza Khela. Once you board, inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to the waterfall trailhead. This journey will take around 30-40 minutes. From the drop-off point, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along a well-marked trail. This walk will take you through charming landscapes, and you may encounter friendly locals along the way who can guide you further.
