Outstanding Heritage Tour of Sindh & Punjab with Fahad Bora

A friend and I recently completed the Sindh and Punjab Tour with Rocket Tourism, guided by Fahad Bora, and it was an outstanding experience. From the start of the journey, Fahad proved to be punctual, extremely organized, and highly professional, ensuring that every part of the trip ran smoothly. What impressed me most was how quickly Fahad understood our interests and temperament. Within the first day he had already adapted aspects of the experience to suit us. At many of the historical sites he arranged excellent local guides, each of whom provided unique insights and detailed historical context that greatly enriched the visits. The itinerary itself is remarkable, covering some of the most significant heritage and cultural sites in Sindh and Punjab. Highlights included the vast Makli Necropolis (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the extraordinary ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, vibrant Sufi shrines, and historic mosques along the Indus corridor. Fahad is very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, and cultural significance of these places and generously shared his insights throughout the journey. One particularly unforgettable experience was our visit to Manchar Lake, where we had the opportunity to interact with a Mohana family who live on the lake. Spending time with them and learning about their way of life was deeply memorable and offered a rare glimpse into a unique cultural tradition that few people know about. Another major strength of traveling with Fahad is how well connected he is locally. At nearly every stop he knew the right guides and caretakers who could provide deeper perspectives on the sites. This made the tour feel far more personal, authentic, and informative than a typical sightseeing trip. Throughout the journey Fahad remained polite, courteous, attentive, and proactive, always making sure both of us were comfortable during the long travel days. His calm and professional presence made the entire trip relaxed and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Fahad Bora and Rocket Tourism to anyone interested in exploring the history, Sufi heritage, and archaeological treasures of Sindh and Punjab. Wonderful Tour through the History of Sindh

This time in Karachi, I and my wife wanted to see the amazing historical sites near the city. I had seen all of them as a sightseeing visitor but without guides, so this time we decided to book a guided tour. Based on our excellent experience all over the world, we checked out tours through Viator and were pleasantly surprised to find many good options. Ultimately, we booked this tour provided by GOVAC Travels. It was a small group (4 or fewer) tour, but in the event, it was just the two of us, our guide Mr. Zehan Tahir, and our driver, Mr. Baqar. They offered to pick us up from where we were staying in Sea View at 7:30 AM, and, in spite of some early morning fog, were able to do so by 7:45. It was a comfortable car, and we visited Chawkandi, Bhanbhore, Makli, and the great mosque in Thatta. The tour was very well-organized with knowledgeable local guides at every site. Even as a veteran of prior visits, I learned several new things. The tour included a nice lunch at the famous Cafe Imran. After the tour, they offered to drop us at home, which was extremely convenient. The whole experience was wonderful. The sites are fascinating. The graves of Chawkandi and the tombs of Makli are incredible in their intricate beauty snd elegance; the Shahjahani Mosque in Thatta is without question one of the most architecturally beautiful Mughal buildings in the Sub-Continent; and the ruins of Bhambhore echo with the ghosts of history and the legend of the tragic love story of Sassi and Punnu. The guide and the driver were both very professional and thoughtful. They accommodated my desire to linger to take more photographs while politely keeping us on track. My wife, who had only been to Chawkandi before, had a similarly positive opinion. I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to explore these sites. They also provide city tours in Karachi and in other parts of the country.
