Getting There

Walking
Start at the Ngchesar Community Center located in the heart of Ngchesar. Head southeast on the main pathway that leads out of the center. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with the Ngchesar Road. Turn left onto Ngchesar Road and walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Ngaremlengui. Continue straight, and you will enter the Ngaremlengui region. Keep walking straight for another 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right fork, which leads towards the coast. After about another 500 meters, you will see a small path on your right that leads into the Ngermeskang Bird Sanctuary. Follow this path for approximately 300 meters, and you will arrive at the sanctuary entrance.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Ngchesar Community Center. Head southeast on the main pathway and turn left onto Ngchesar Road. Cycle straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Ngaremlengui sign. Continue on that road for another kilometer, then take the right fork when you reach the split. After about 500 meters, look for the small path on the right that leads into Ngermeskang Bird Sanctuary. The sanctuary entrance will be about 300 meters down that path.

For a hiking adventure, begin at the Ngchesar Community Center. Take the main path southeast until you reach Ngchesar Road, then turn left. Follow Ngchesar Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Once you see the Ngaremlengui sign, continue straight for another kilometer. At the fork, take the right path and hike for about 500 meters until you find the small trail on your right leading to Ngermeskang Bird Sanctuary. Follow this trail for about 300 meters to reach the sanctuary entrance.
