Walking
From the center of Ngerulmud, head southeast towards the main road. Follow the path leading down to the main road, which is known as the Ngerulmud Road. Once you reach the road, continue walking in the direction of Ngiwal. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Ngardmau Waterfalls as you approach the outskirts of Ngerulmud. The total distance from Ngerulmud to the waterfalls is approximately 5 kilometers, which should take around 1 to 1.5 hours on foot.

As you walk towards Ngiwal, you'll notice a trail leading off the main road. Look for the sign that points towards Ngardmau Waterfalls; this will be on your left. Take this path, which will lead you into the lush surroundings of the rainforest. The trail can be steep and uneven, so wear appropriate footwear. Follow the trail for about 1 kilometer, and you will eventually arrive at the Ngardmau Waterfalls. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!

Once you reach the Ngardmau Waterfalls, be sure to explore the area. There are several viewpoints for the waterfalls, and it's a great spot to relax and take photos. Don't forget to bring water and snacks, as there are no facilities nearby. After enjoying the waterfalls, retrace your steps back to Ngerulmud the same way.
