If you have access to a car, start your journey in Guna Yala and drive towards the town of Cartí. You will take the road leading towards the Pan-American Highway. The drive will take around 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once on the highway, head west towards Colón Province. Follow the signs for Portobelo, which will be on your right. The coordinates for the Fortifications are approximately (9.5548873, -79.6554547). You will see signs for the fortifications as you approach Portobelo.
