Getting There

From the center of Volcan, head to the main bus station, which is located near the Plaza de Volcan. Look for buses headed towards Caldera. The fare is usually inexpensive, so keep some cash handy. The bus journey will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Caldera, you can ask the bus driver to drop you off near La Playita.

If you prefer to walk from Caldera, once you disembark from the bus, head towards the main road (Pan-American Highway). Walk south along the highway for about 1 kilometer until you see signs pointing towards La Playita. It's a scenic walk, but ensure you stay on the side of the road for safety.
