Walking
From the center of Buka town, head north on the main road towards the airport. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path at the fork which leads towards the Ratavul area. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see a sign for Bitapaka War Cemetery on your left. Follow the sign, and after a short walk, you will arrive at the cemetery entrance.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from Buka town and ride north along the main road towards the airport. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the right path at the fork towards Ratavul. Continue cycling for around 3 kilometers. Watch for a sign indicating Bitapaka War Cemetery on your left. Follow the sign, and you will find the cemetery entrance shortly after.

From the Buka Market area, look for a local bus or transport service heading towards Ratavul. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to go to Bitapaka War Cemetery. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to the cemetery, which will be near the sign for Bitapaka. After getting off, it’s a short walk to the cemetery entrance.
