Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Port Moresby. Take the Magi Highway (H7) heading towards Central Province. After approximately 1 hour, you will reach the small township of Rouna. Continue along the highway for another 30-40 minutes until you see the sign for Roku. Turn left onto the Unnamed Road where Roku Beach is located, following the GPS coordinates G3PV+69P. The beach is accessible from there, but make sure to have some local currency (K10 notes) handy for any local tolls or informal fees.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a PMV (Public Motor Vehicle) from Port Moresby heading towards Central Province. You can find PMVs along major bus stops in the city. Request to be dropped off at Roku. The fare is usually around K10. After you get off, walk towards the Unnamed Road that leads to Roku Beach, following the coordinates G3PV+69P. Be aware that walking may take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace. Keep some K10 notes ready for any local fees.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable ride, consider hiring a taxi from Port Moresby directly to Roku Beach. The journey will take about 1.5 hours depending on traffic, and the fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically ranging from K200 to K300. Ensure to clarify the drop-off point at the Unnamed Road leading to Roku Beach, using the location coordinates G3PV+69P. Carry extra K10 notes in case there are local fees upon reaching the beach.
