Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Kimbe, head southeast on Namatanai Rd towards the ocean. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Bialla Rd. Turn left onto Bialla Rd and follow it for about 3 km. You will then see signs pointing towards Rilu. As you approach Rilu, look for a path or trail that leads towards the coastline, which is where Fringe-Mahonia is located. The nature preserve is near the coordinates H34R+GW, Rilu.

  • Bicycle

    Starting from the Kimbe market, rent a bicycle and head south on Namatanai Rd. Keep pedaling until you reach the intersection with Bialla Rd, approximately 2 km. Take a left onto Bialla Rd and cycle for about 3 km, enjoying the scenic views. Watch for signs for Rilu, then look for a path leading towards the coast, where you'll find Fringe-Mahonia. Ensure to navigate carefully as some areas may be unpaved.

  • Public Transport (Bus/Van)

    From the main bus station in Kimbe, board a bus heading towards Rilu. Confirm with the driver that they will pass near Fringe-Mahonia. The ride should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Rilu, ask locals for directions to the nature preserve. It’s a short walk from the bus drop-off point to the entrance of Fringe-Mahonia.
