Walking
From the main market area in Kimbe, head east on the main road, which is Highway 1. Continue walking straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Lae. At this point, you will notice a sign for Lae. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for about 500 meters. You will see a bus stop where you can catch a local bus heading to Lae. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you should inform the driver that you want to go to Lae Botanic Gardens.
Public Transport (Bus)
After arriving at the bus stop, board a bus that is heading towards Lae. The fare is usually around 5-10 Kina. Once you arrive in Lae, disembark at the nearest bus stop to the Lae Botanic Gardens. From there, you may need to ask locals for directions, as the gardens are located approximately 300 meters from the bus stop. Walk straight ahead, and you will see signs guiding you to the entrance of the gardens.
Taxi (if available)
If you prefer a more direct route, you can opt for a taxi after reaching Lae. Look for a taxi stand or ask locals for the nearest taxi service. Provide the driver with the address: '7XHW+RHC, Lae 675 Morobe Province'. The taxi will take you directly to the Lae Botanic Gardens. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start your journey.
