Walking
From the center of Lae, head towards the main road, Yalu Road. Walk along Yalu Road towards the Old Airport area. You will pass by various shops and local eateries along the way. After approximately 3 kilometers, look for the signs that indicate the direction to the Old Airport. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of Dekenai Park located at P.O. BOX 1190, Old Airport. The park is situated in a green area and is easily recognizable.
Public Transport (Bus)
Locate a bus stop in Lae on Yalu Road or near the main market. Board a bus heading to the Old Airport area. Inform the driver of your destination, Dekenai Park. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach the Old Airport area, disembark and walk towards P.O. BOX 1190. The park entrance is nearby, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.
