Getting there

Walking

If you are in the city center of Lae, start at the main market area. Head southeast towards the main road, Sir Ignatius Kilage Drive. Continue walking along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Wau Road. Cross the road carefully. Continue along Wau Road for about 500 meters until you see a small sign for Buablong Hostel on your right. The hostel is located just off the main road, so be on the lookout for this sign.

Public Transport (Bicycle Taxi or PMV Bus)

From your current location in Lae, find a nearby PMV (Public Motor Vehicle) bus stop. Ask for a PMV heading towards 'Wau' or 'Bumbu'. Board the bus and inform the driver that you want to stop near Buablong Hostel. The bus ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. When you reach the intersection with Wau Road, get off and walk approximately 500 meters back towards the city center until you see the sign for Buablong Hostel on your left.

Bicycle Rental

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Lae. Start from the city center and cycle southeast towards Sir Ignatius Kilage Drive. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers, then turn onto Wau Road. Keep cycling for another 500 meters until you spot the sign for Buablong Hostel on your right.
