Car
If you have a car, start your journey from Madang town. Head southeast on the Bialla Road (also known as the Madang-Dagua Road) towards the Highlands. Continue on this road for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the junction at Karkar Island Road. Take a left at this junction onto the Karkar Island Road and drive for another 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Bikanggau. From Bikanggau, follow the local signs towards Yoya top. The road can be a bit rough, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for such terrain.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the Madang Bus Terminal in Madang town. Look for a bus heading towards Chimbu Province or specifically to Bikanggau. The fare should be around PGK 20-30 (depending on the bus company and conditions). The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Bikanggau, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a private vehicle to take you to Yoya top, which should cost around PGK 50-100. Be sure to ask the driver to take you directly to Yoya top.

If you're feeling adventurous and already in the vicinity of Bikanggau, you can opt to hike to Yoya top from the town. However, this is recommended only for experienced hikers due to the challenging terrain. Start your hike from the center of Bikanggau and follow the local trails leading towards the mountainous area. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking footwear and carry enough water and supplies for the journey.
