Getting There
Walking
From the center of Rabaul, head east on the main road towards the coast. Continue walking along the road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading to Kokopo. At this junction, turn right onto the Kokopo Road. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers. As you approach Pilapila, keep an eye out for local signs indicating the beach. The final stretch will take you through some residential areas. Continue until you reach the coast, where you will find Pilapila Beach. Be sure to enjoy the scenic views along the way!

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Rabaul. Start from the Rabaul town center and cycle east along the main coastal road. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the junction with Kokopo Road. Make a right turn onto Kokopo Road and continue cycling for another 5 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards Pilapila Beach.
