Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the center of Cerro Pero, head southeast on Calle Juan E. O'Leary towards Ruta 7. Continue on Ruta 7 for about 15 km until you reach San Gervacio. Once in San Gervacio, turn right onto Arroyo Guasu street. Follow this road for about 2 km, and you will arrive at the Arroyo Guasu area. Make sure to have GPS or a map handy, as some smaller roads may not be well-marked. Parking may be available nearby, but be cautious of any local parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Arroyo Guasu using public transportation, first locate the nearest bus stop in Cerro Pero. You will need to take a bus bound for San Gervacio. Buses run frequently, but check the schedule to minimize wait times. The fare is typically around 5,000 PYG (Paraguayan Guaraní). Once you arrive in San Gervacio, get off at the main bus stop and ask locals for directions to Arroyo Guasu, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the bus stop to Arroyo Guasu for about 20,000 PYG.

• Taxi

  For a more direct approach, consider taking a taxi from Cerro Pero to Arroyo Guasu. This will be the most convenient option if you have luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport. Taxis are available throughout Cerro Pero, and you can negotiate the fare before the journey. Expect to pay around 100,000 PYG for the trip, which should take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.
