Walking

From the center of Ypacarai, head south on Avenida Ypacarai towards Calle 14 de Mayo. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ruta 2 (the main highway). At this intersection, turn left onto Ruta 2 and follow the road for about 12 kilometers. You will pass through several small towns along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Caacupé. Once you arrive in Caacupé, you can ask locals for directions to the main square, where the famous Basilica de Caacupé is located.

Bus

From the Ypacarai bus terminal, look for the buses heading to Caacupé. Buses to Caacupé run frequently throughout the day. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or directly from the driver, and board the bus. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Caacupé bus station, exit the station and follow the signs to the main square. The Basilica de Caacupé is a short walk from the bus station.

Bicycle

If you prefer to ride a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Ypacarai. Start by heading south on Avenida Ypacarai towards Calle 14 de Mayo. Continue straight until you reach Ruta 2. Turn left onto Ruta 2 and cycle for about 12 kilometers. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the scenic views as you ride. Once in Caacupé, park your bicycle near the main square and explore the area on foot.
