Getting There

• Car

  From Asunción, take the Route 1 (Ruta Nacional 1) heading southeast towards the town of Ybycuí. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 140 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 7 (Ruta Nacional 7). Turn left onto Route 7 and follow the signs for Ybycuí. After about 35 kilometers, you will arrive in the town of Ybycuí. The entrance to Ybycuí National Park is located just outside of town. Look for the signs directing you to the park entrance. Note that there may be a small entrance fee to access the park, typically around 5,000 to 10,000 guaraníes (approximately $1-$2 USD).

• Public Transportation

  From Asunción, head to the Terminal de Ómnibus (Bus Terminal) and find a bus heading to Ybycuí. Buses are available throughout the day, and the journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Ybycuí, you can take a taxi or walk to the entrance of Ybycuí National Park, which is about 5 kilometers from the bus station. Expect to pay around 10,000 guaraníes (approximately $2 USD) for the taxi ride. Remember to check the bus schedule for return trips to Asunción, as they may vary.

• Local Transport (Taxi or Motorcycle Taxi)

  Once in Ybycuí, if you need to reach the park entrance from the town, local taxis and motorcycle taxis are available. These can be hailed on the street or arranged through your accommodation. The ride to the park entrance will cost around 10,000 guaraníes (approximately $2 USD) and takes about 10-15 minutes.
