Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Gran Chaco. Head southeast on Route 6 (Ruta 6) towards Presidente Franco. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you see signs for Calle Saltos del Monday. Turn right onto Calle Saltos del Monday and follow the road until you reach the entrance to Monday Falls. Make sure to check for parking areas near the falls. Note that parking may have a small fee, typically around 10,000 PYG.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a bus from Gran Chaco to Ciudad del Este. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal and the fare is usually around 15,000 PYG. Once in Ciudad del Este, transfer to a local bus heading to Presidente Franco. Look for buses with 'Presidente Franco' on their destination signs. The fare for this leg is about 5,000 PYG. Get off at the stop closest to Calle Saltos del Monday. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the entrance of Monday Falls. Be prepared for some uneven terrain along the way.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi. You can find taxis in Gran Chaco or arrange for one through your hotel. The taxi ride to Monday Falls from Gran Chaco should take about 30-40 minutes and cost roughly 80,000 PYG. Confirm the price with the driver before starting your trip.
Walking
If you are already in Presidente Franco, you can walk to Monday Falls from the town center. It's approximately a 3 km walk, which should take around 30-45 minutes. Head east on Calle 4 de Octubre, then turn onto Calle Saltos del Monday. Follow the road signs to the falls. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, especially in warmer weather.
