Car
If you are driving from a nearby town, take Ruta 9 towards Areguá. Once you reach the town, follow the signs to Ruta Aregua. Continue along Ruta Aregua for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Cerro Kõi, where you will find a parking area at the base of the hill.
Public Transportation
To reach Cerro Kõi by public transport, take a bus from Asunción to Areguá. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal in Asunción. Upon arriving in Areguá, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Ruta Aregua. It is about a 3-kilometer walk from the bus station to the entrance of Cerro Kõi. Taxis are available and cost around 15,000 - 20,000 PYG.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the parking area or the entrance of Cerro Kõi, prepare for a hike. The trail to the top is well-marked and takes about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water. The park is open from 8 AM to 4 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.
