Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Asunción. Take Route 1 (Ruta Transchaco) heading towards the east. After approximately 30 kilometers, merge onto Route 2 (Ruta de los Pueblos) towards Areguá. Continue on Route 2 for about 18 kilometers until you reach Areguá. Once in Areguá, follow the signs to Ruta Aregua, where you will find Cerro Kõi located at the coordinates -25.3273625, -57.3977729. There is parking available at the site.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Asunción to Areguá. Buses leave frequently from the Asunción Terminal de Ómnibus. The journey takes around 1 hour and costs approximately 5,000 PYG (Paraguayan Guarani). Once you arrive in Areguá, you can take a taxi or walk to Cerro Kõi, which is about 3 kilometers from the bus terminal. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip to Asunción.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Asunción to Cerro Kõi. This option is more expensive, costing around 150,000 PYG for a one-way trip. The taxi will take you directly to the location at Ruta Aregua, Areguá 110120. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or confirm that the taxi uses a meter.
Walking
If you are already in Areguá and prefer to walk, you can stroll to Cerro Kõi from the city center. The walk is about 3 kilometers and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Head south on Avenida Areguá and continue until you reach Ruta Aregua. Follow the road until you see the entrance to Cerro Kõi.
